Leani Ratri Oktila
Leani Ratri Oktila is an Indonesian para badminton player. Leani Ratri was born in Karya Nyata Hamlet, Siabu Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency, Riau on May 6 1991. She played each of the three variations of the sport (women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles) at the highest world level.
Oktila played badminton as a normal athlete since 8 years old, and she competed in national events starting from 1999. However, Oktila had a motorbike accident in 2011, causing her left leg to shrink. Then, she decided to move to the disability class
Her first para-badminton title was recorded during the 2012 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) which took place in Riau, the province of his birth. At that time, Ratri won one gold and silver medal each.
There is a proud 'ritual' that Ratri performs. Every time she competes, Ratri always carries the Red and White flag in her competition bag. He did this as motivation to be able to fly the Red and White flag on the highest podium of the competition in which he participated.
The habit of carrying the Red and White flag was taught by her father, F. Mujiran, when Ratri was still young.
Ratri is also a disciplined and hardworking athlete, she always arrives on time for every training session and often adds to her own training portion. "I dare to fight boredom and laziness so I can become an outstanding athlete," said Ratri.
